since we’ve already celebrated together with our Wedding Anniversary.

But still, Happy 4th Anniversary to Beanie and me!

I will not forget this special day -7th September

Because in less than an hr’s time, it would be our 1st year Wedding Anniversary!

I still remember vivdly that 1 year ago on the eve of our Big Day, I can’t sleep at all!

Perhaps tonight I will have insomnia too …

Just wanted to tell my hubby Beanie that I love him very much!

And I appreciate all the things that he had done for me …

All the love and care that he showered me with …

Always giving in to my unreasonable demands and tantrums …

I love you and I always do!

Happy 1st Year Anniversary to us !

Anyway, I think I will feel better after taking a nap later. Got the day off but I kept thinking about what’s going on in school. And I remembered that last year this day, 4 days before my wedding, I was sick too. It seems that 1st september is kinda jinx?

Poor Beanie also sprained his leg a couple of days ago. The poor thing is much better now after a visit to the chinese sinseh but he stil walks with a limp. The doctor say that he can only run after he fully recovered, which is about half a month. Double suayness I would say. I’m hoping that both of us will recover in time for saturday’s anniversary celebrations!

Back to last weekend. We PTed as usual on saturday. Beanie drove to Expo as we wanted to check out the NATAS travel fair for any good holiday deals. It’s sort of confirmed that we will be going to Hongkong in december during the christmas period. Taiwan is out of the picture as it’s not really safe to go due to typhoons and floods and Korea will be too cold. But my MIL and SIL will be going to Korea in november but sadly we can’t join them due to my school’s commitments.

As we reached Expo, we were shocked to see a super long queue at the carpark! Didn’t expect NATAS to be so popular, somemore have to pay entrance fee to get in. We gave up waiting and drove to Bugis instead as I need to buy a printer. The old one is spoilt and I always get Beanie to help print my notes at his office. Super troublesome for Beanie and super inconvenient for me because some of my lecturers like to post up the lecture notes very late, like the night before the lecture. If I don’t have my own printer, I can’t print the notes and bring to school. And when I tell people that my house doesn’t have a printer, they will look at me in disbelievement! Haha.

We bought HP Laserjet printer from Sim Lim Square. The total damage is $159. It’s quite a steal, considering that places like Best Denki and Harvey Norman are selling the exact same model for $200! Quite a big difference in price right. Moral of the story? Always get your eletronics from SLS! But the printer is damn heavy and Beanie nearly break his arms lugging it back to the car.

Had a sweet treat at this cafe at Iluma. The cafe’s name is Teadot (level 1) and it’s owned by Beanie’s colleague (another “moonlighter”…ssh…). We shared a slice of tiramisu mousse cake and a glass of tea and the bill came up to around $15! But the cake is really nice. Tempted to try other cakes next time. Hehe.

Went shoe shopping after that. Beanie hates it when I want to buy shoes because I always take super long to decide which pair to buy and I always ask his opinion on which pair is nice. In the end, I bought a pair of comfy white pumps from Mitju.

Dinner was at the HK cafe at level 2. Beanie had hor fun while I tried cheese baked rice with mushrooms. I guess I’m not really a baked rice person as I find it too cheesy and I got sick of it after a few scoops. Haha.

Went window-shopping at various places after that like Iluma, Bugis Village and then back to Bugis Junction. Camwhored at Intercontinental hotel again:

Think I will end here now. Feeling very drowsy after taking the medicine. Shall blow-dry my hair and take a nap. Will be doing a special post on our 1st year wedding anniversary soon especially for Beanie

But the turnout that day was massive, probably because it’s not always that Bee and family comes back to Singapore.

These few days I’ve been busy attending lessons at NIE. I’m taking a total of 8 modules! Crazy right? I remember that when I was studying at NUS a few years back, the maximum no. of modules that I took per semester is only 5! But the good thing is that majority of the modules that I’m taking now are project-based so I do not need to take any exams! But there’s lots of big and small, group and individual assignments that I need to complete!

Another thing to rant about is that although we have a reading week (term break), the dates are different for each module which means that we still have to go back to school on certain days.  Public holidays for the next 2 months are no good too as the school has already made arrangements for make-up lessons! Plain absurd!

Well, I need more motivation to study so I went to buy some colorful files to organise my piling notes as well as to cheer myself up. The only thing to look forward to is  our wedding cum 4th year anniversary next month and probably a year-end holiday trip. Beanie is planning a getaway and he’s not telling me the venue! Which reminds me that I’ve yet to buy his anni present. Oops! Guess I need to do some shopping on saturday after he goes to work.

And we’ve decided to buy the AMK DBSS flat. Will be going down to do the paperwork on sunday. We’re finally getting a home of our own!!!

As I was quite sick of my long straight hair with side fringe, I decided to try something new by asking Jeremy to cut bangs for me! I told him that I want bangs that can be combed straight down or to the side. Rotted 2 hours at the salon as Jeremy was busy tending to other customers then me then other customers then me again. I don’t like to wait but bo bian since they are really short-handed! Actually with the money that they are earning, Maison can afford to hire more stylists.

Ok, that’s besides the point. Back to my haircut. I think Jeremy cut my fringe too short or was it me who’s not used to seeing myself in bangs? I think the last time that I had such short fringe was when I was still a kid and my hair was cut by my mum! OMG I seriously think my hair will look better when it grows out in 2 weeks or so

So yesterday I went out with Beanie in my 妹仔头! I was so self-conscious, kept checking how my hair look in the mirror! Haha. I do hope that my hair grows fast. Haiz. We went to grab a bite at Shaw Tower. Earlier on at home, My MIL cooked a horrible lunch and I didn’t eat much, so I was quite hungry. We shared a popiah and chee cheong fun. The popiah is yummy but the chee cheong fun tasted weird so we didn’t eat the chee cheong fun and went to order another popiah instead. Such gluttons

Went to check out the Toys and Anime Fair at Suntec and we saw lots of ppl in cosplay costumes. I must say that some of them look really good! One that caught our eyes was  the bumble bee transformer

There was a travel fair at Marina and the kiasu Beanie took all the pamplets that were available!

Walk walk around Marina and went Sakae Sushi for dinner. Beanie ordered his all-time favourite Teriyaki Chicken Don (to our amusement, it has upsized! I remembered last time the bowl was super small) while I tried unagi spaghetti. My spaghetti is not nice at all! For some strange reason, the spaghetti is bitter and comes in super small serving! The unagi is not nice either. I still prefer MOF to Sakae Sushi.

After dinner, went to Millennia Walk to check out the furniture and electronics at Harvey Norman. Beanie prefers wood furniture while I like glass. I saw this transparent bar-like high chair that’s super cool and I want it in my future home! I’m dying to have our own place soon so that can buy nice furniture and stuff to decorate the house!

It will be a full-blown week next week and I’m really dreading Mondays where I’ve lessons from 8:30am all the way to 7:30pm! And now the school no longer print notes for us, we have to either print ourselves or buy from the bookshop! So niao

Gotto bathe and get ready to meet my folks for lunch. My cousin Bee is back!

And there are some nice Japanese restaurants at level 6 & 7 which I would like to try out some time too.

Our stomachs were growling badly by then so we wanted to grab a bite. But most of the restaurants aren’t open yet so we ended up at Mos Burger.

Had sinful stuff like fries and nuggets which will give me pimples if I eat too much of them:

Left the mall after filling our tummies and head towards Plaza Sing direction. Passed by Istana and saw many policemen guarding the gate. Beanie said that it might be open day for the public and I got all excited about going in to explore since I’ve never been inside before. But in the end we didn’t dare to go in because the policemen looked very fierce and threatening! Haha.

Dinner was at Xin Wang because I was craving for their porridge! Ordered chicken porridge instead of century egg porridge (I just had century egg on sunday) and it was a big mistake because it’s not as delicious

Out came my hp automatically when Beanie starts to eat. Haha.

After dinner, we popped by a gift shop to get a little present for mummy. Beanie was the one who saw it and suggest buying for mummy. Nothing expensive but I’m sure it’ll warm her heart when she sees it! A pity though that they don’t have a new piece for it and we had to take the display one.

It’s home sweet home after that. We took a train back. It feels good to take public transport instead of drive, less costly and much healthier for the body. Haha.

On a sidenote, we went to see the AMK DBSS (Park Central) showflat on sunday with mummy. Initially we were very enthu to buy because of the nice interior decor that would come along since it’s a DBSS flat but then it will only be ready by 2011 which is 2 more years!

My verdict: the noodles tasted quite bland because we didn’t add in much of the powder that comes along with the magi mee. But still, I will give Beanie 100 marks for the initiative and efforts put in!

Seems like it doesn’t matter even if I don’t know how to cook …

My hubby can still cook for me! HAHA

The long weekend passed in a flash, but I had my fair share of rest and fun.

Went Vivo with Beanie last saturday and did some shopping. Bought this silly thing from Daiso:

We hanged it at our room door! The bear looks super cute right? I thought it resembles Beanie. Haha.

Dinner was at Central. Beanie had pork chop bake rice (super cheesy) while I had sweet and sour fish with rice (super tomato-y):

Overall the dinner is not bad. But I still prefer Xin Wang to Central anytime. At least their menu got more variety. We always end up ordering the same food when we eat at Central! LOL

Currently I’m hooked to 2 HK drama on SCV. Besides the forensic scientist show, there’s this nice one about dogs starring my favourite actor Gallen Lo (another very ‘old’ actor)!

But starting from next week, don’t think I’ll have much time to watch since school ends late on mondays and tuesdays.

And I feel like cutting my hair soon. My fringe is like super long and so out of shape! That reminds me that I’ve yet to book an appointment with Jeremy. Hopefully they still have slots on friday.

Should I perm my hair too? I’m quite sick of my straight long hair but I’m scared that perming will dry my hair out. How? In a dilemma now.
